Professional experience in Tanzania and beyond
The Firm will celebrated Thirteen (13) years anniversary on 1st April 2022 during which period it has grown steadily and gained the trust of many clients both within and beyond Tanzania. Although the Firm operates from Dar es Salaam Office, it has clients across the East Africa Region and Beyond. Apart from clients in Tanzania, the Firm serves clients in Kenya; Uganda; Rwanda; Burundi; South Sudan; the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), and the Central Africa Republic (CAR) as depicted in the map below:
Audits of Public Bodies on behalf of the Controller and Auditor General (CAG) of the National Audit Office in Tanzania (NAOT):
Since its inception, the Firm has continued to be subcontracted by the NAOT to perform audits of Public Bodies and related entities on behalf of the CAG.
Financial Oversight Role for SDC
ABA Alliance has provided financial oversight role to the SDC (The Swiss Confederation Federal Department of Foreign Affairs) in respect of the review and analysis of CAG’s Reports on the Ministry of Health Basket Fund Partners on behalf of the Donor Community supporting the Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children (MoHCDEC) and PMO-RALG.
Financial Oversight Role for the World Bank
The Firm, through one of its Partners, provided Financial Oversight Role to the World Bank Office in Tanzania in respect of the Quality Assurance Review of the Urbanization of Local Governments in Tanzania for 21 Local Government Authorities in Mainland Tanzania.
Medium Size Category by the NBAA
ABA Alliance has grown steadily over the past eleven (11) years of its operation during which period the Firm has moved from Small Firm to the Medium Firm category per rankings issued by the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA). The Firm is in the process to fulfil the criteria required for Big Firm categorization.
Accreditation by USAID RIG-Pretoria
In July 2010 ABA Alliance was accredited to audit USAID/CDC grants on behalf of the Regional Inspector General (RIG/Pretoria). Since then, the Firm has audited multiple projects with a total funding level of over a hundred (100) million United States Dollars receiving clearance on quality of audit reports from the Office of Inspector General “National External Audit Review Centre, Kansas City” and the Office of the RIG Pretoria in all USAID/CDC audit engagements. The accreditation mandate was subsequently delegated to USAID Country Offices who also independently performed a quality assurance review on our capability and accredited us accordingly.
