Sylvester Simon Orao

Sylvester is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA-PP) and Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) holding a BA (Hons) in Public Administration from the University of Dar es Salaam. He has over 25 years of professional experience in audit, assurance, risk management, and advisory services. His career includes experience with PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), KPMG, Ernst & Young (EY), and more than 13 years as a Founding Partner at ABA Alliance. He leads audits of international NGOs and donor-funded projects across East Africa and beyond, working with organizations funded by USAID, CDC, the Global Fund, DANIDA, SIDA, Oxfam, and Plan International. Sylvester has extensive expertise in risk-based auditing, donor compliance, governance, internal controls, and organizational risk management. He has also led numerous advisory assignments, including forensic audits, financial systems reviews, due diligence, pre-grant assessments, strategic planning reviews, and organizational assessments, helping clients strengthen accountability, compliance, and operational effectiveness.

William George Kihigwa

William is a Certified Public Accountant in Public Practice (CPA-PP) with over 28 years of experience in auditing, accounting, financial management, and advisory services. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy and a Master’s Degree in Finance and is a registered member of the National Board of Accountants and Auditors (NBAA). Prior to joining ABA Alliance, William held senior positions with KPMG in Tanzania and the Channel Islands (UK), rising to Senior Audit Manager. His extensive experience spans audits of donor-funded projects, government institutions, NGOs, mining companies, manufacturing firms, aviation-related entities, and service organizations. He has also worked with PwC Tanzania and EY Tanzania. William has a strong specialization in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), financial analysis, business planning, tax consultancy, and financial management advisory services. As Partner responsible for Technical Matters at ABA Alliance, he oversees IFRS compliance and professional standards updates. He has also served as a Non-Executive Director in several organizations, bringing strategic leadership and deep industry expertise to every engagement.
